The Story.
“Mouche.” I heard from the back of the car one day from a very beautiful and extraordinary woman, who then proceeded to ask her question. This kept on until our mutual friend asked why she was calling me Mouche and not Mosh? To which she stated...she thought that was how I pronounced my name…"like the beauty mark, no?" ...
Derived from the french word "mouches" (referring to beauty marks, and also flies), “Moushes” is a space meant to be shared by fellow beauty adventurists.
Historically, beauty marks could be used to decorate, to cover imperfections, and even to indicate social or political meanings. They could aggravate, and be admired, depending on the eye and mind of the viewer. While simple yet complex, past to present, our concepts of beauty have maintained a similar importance and connection between us.
I hope with this site to encourage the beauty that exists with us all, theres much to be found in it. Whether your beauty marks be natural, filled in, marked, or applied...all beauty will find itself at home here.
